How to Set an Expiration Date for a User
This article details how to set an expiration date for a user, useful things to know when enabling this feature, and how to run a report on expiration dates for existing users.
Note: To utilize the User Expiration date, the user account
must be in an "Enabled" status for the feature to be available.

How to Set an Expiration Date for a User
- Within the Documoto Admin Center, go to: Users > Users > Search for and select the user you wish to apply a User Expiration Date for
- On the Info page, first check that the user is active by making sure the "Enabled" toggle is enabled (toggle next to "Enabled" will be green if user is active).
- Next, Enable the User Expiration Date by sliding the toggle over to activate the feature.
- Once enabled, a Date field will populate to select the date for the account to expire. Click inside the field to show the Date Picker view. Select, the desired date.
- Click Save.

User Expiration Date Considerations

In order to save the page when the User Expiration Date toggle is enabled, a date must be selected.

On the selected date of expiration at 0:00 UTC, the user will no longer be able to log into Documoto.

After the expiration date, the user's profile will not auto-disable until the user's next attempted login.

Once a user account has expired, the user cannot use the "Forget Password" feature on the login page.
- Admins can re-enable a user and set a new expiration date if the user is auto-disabled at any point.

An expiration date can be set during new user creation or when editing an existing user. To add expiration dates for existing users in bulk, please reach out to your designated Customer Success Manager for assistance.
