How to Create a Widget Key Admin User Group

To create a Documoto Widget, a Widget Key Admin User Group must first be set up. This special user group grants the necessary permission for a user to create a Widget User Group, which is required to create a Widget API Key and grant access to content for the Widget.

Prerequisites 

Before creating a Widget Key Admin User Group, the following must be in place: 

  • Widgets must be enabled for the Documoto Tenant 
  • The user must be assigned to a User Group with the "Tenant Admin" permission enabled

How to Create a Widget Key Admin User Group

  1. Within the Documoto Admin Center, go to: Users > User Groups
  2. Select Add.
  3. Select Standard User Group.
  4. Enter "Widget Key Admin" in the Name field.
  5. Enable the "Widget Key Admin" permission.
  6. Assign the Widget Key Admin User Group to the user who will be responsible for creating a Widget User Group(s). 

Widget Key Admin User Group Considerations

Users assigned a to Widget Key Group:

  • Are viewers or read-only
  • Do not have access to create or update any information in your Documoto tenant

How to Create a Widget User Group

Once the Widget Key Admin User Group is created and assigned, the user assigned to the Widget Key Admin User Group can now Create a Widget User Group - which functions as the access controls mechanism that determines what content is accessible through the Widget via assigned Media Categories.
