How to Use the PDF Viewer

Within the Documoto Library, users can access and view PDF documents within the browser using the native PDF Viewer. This eliminates the need for any additional browser plug-in's to display PDF content.

PDF Viewer Toolbar Overview

Documoto's PDF Viewer Toolbar offers a range of functions: 

 

Allows users enable:

  • Thumbnails: shows a floating thumbnail bar to the left of the document
  • Outline ("Bookmarks"): consists of a tree-structured hierarchy of bookmarks, which serve as a visual table of contents to display the document's structure 
Indicates the number of pages for a particular document; users can use the page forward and back arrow to navigate the document or input a page number to jump to that page

Allows users to browse and/or select the document

Allows users to zoom out (minus symbol) and zoom in (plus symbol)

Allows users to view one entire page or fit the document to screen

Allows users to view PDF media and pages in full screen mode.
Allows users to perform a full-text search of the document, as well as list the number of results for a given term, walk through the results using the forward and back arrows and highlights all occurrences of the search term in the document.
Allows users to print the document

How to View PDF Documents in Full Screen

For an immersive experience simply click on the full screen icon within the PDF Viewer Toolbar. The document will expand to fill the entire screen. To exit full screen, either press the esc key on the keyboard or click the collapse full screen icon at the top of the screen.

    Full screen viewing is supported across most devices, but is not available on Safari for iPhone. However, full screen does work on iPads.
