Why Use Labels?
Different industries often use different terms for the same concept. For example:
- Documoto defaults: Book → Chapter → Page
- Your company might prefer: Machine → Section → Assembly
By customizing labels, you ensure a consistent user experience.

How to Create a New Label
- Within Documoto Admin Center, go to Library > Labels.
- Click +Add.
- From the Label dropdown, select the Label you wish to modify.
- Enter the new Label name in the Name field.
- Click Save.
If the Label you want does not appear in dropdown, it has already been configured
How to Edit an Existing Label
- Within Documoto Admin Center, go to Library > Labels.
- Select the Label you wish to edit.
- Make desired changes.
- Click Save.
How to Delete an Existing Label
- Within Documoto Admin Center, go to Library > Labels.
- Select the Label you wish to delete.
- Click the red X next to the label.
If you delete a label, Documoto will automatically revert back to its default system value
