Hotpoint Best Practices

To ensure high-quality hotpointing, follow these guidelines:

  • Always Review Auto-Hotpoints: Auto-hotpointing is not 100% accurate. Always review and if needed adjust hotpoint placements manually.
  • Use Outline Mode: Enable with Shift + O to clearly see hotpoint boundaries and verify hotpoint alignment.
  • Check Placement Accuracy: Ensure that hotpoints are:
    • Centered directly on the callout
    • Sized appropriately to fully cover the callout
    • Not mistakenly applied to unrelated parts of the Illustration
  • Use Alignment Tools: When multiple hotpoints are used, align them for cleaner presentation and easier viewing.
