Favorites Basics
Favorites list(s) and the content included in the list(s) are specific to the user and will appear on the landing page below the Browse section and before Recently Added and Recently Viewed (if enabled). Favorite lists appear on the landing page in the order the lists were created in.
A user can favorite any media they have access to in the Library, including books, documents, external links and/or videos.
Note: users cannot favorite parts, pages or chapters.
If a user selects the Favorites button while viewing a part, page or chapter, within the context of a book, the Favorites modal will indicate that the book containing the part, page, or chapter will be added to favorites - rather than the specific part, page or chapter.
All favorited content must be added to at least one 'Favorites List'. In other words, when favoriting a piece of content, a user must either create, or select an existing list, to add the content to.
Note: content can be added to one, or multiple, favorites
lists.
If a user has more than one favorites lists, Documoto will display the favorite lists on the landing page in the 'Favorites List section'. Content within each list can be viewed by opening the list.
If a user has only one favorites List, Documoto will display the content included in the list on the landing page and the section will be the name of the favorites list. For example, in the screenshot below, the favorites list name is 'Raptor'.
Users can manage which content is included in a favorites list, edit the favorites list name and/or delete any favorites list(s).
Note: users cannot customize Favorite Lists icons.
