This article describes how to utilize interactive callouts called hotpoints, as well as how to navigate Documoto using hotpoint links.
Article Topics
Hotpoints
Hotpoints are circular, interactive callouts located on an illustrated parts diagram.
If you click on a hotpoint, it will highlight the corresponding part in the bill of material (BOM), as well as open a hotpoint preview of the associated part attributes, such as: part number and name, and icons that indicate if there are related items, comments, or tags associated to the part.
Hotpoint Links
Hotpoint links, denoted by a square callout, extend the capabilities of a standard hotpoint. A hotpoint link’s function is to provide a clickable link that leads users to associated media, chapters or pages.
Note: The example above shows both that a hotpoint item number
can be tied to multiple parts and that one hotpoint link can
be linked to multiple destinations.
