This article outlines the available Storefront user group permissions, which allow users to view or manage purchase orders (PO) or request for quotes (RFQ). Storefront privileges can be configured in Admin > Admin Center > Users > User Groups > select the user group you wish to edit.
Order Management Approver
Users with the Order Management Approver permission can view and administrate any orders and quotes submitted by all users in any organization under Account > Orders.
An Order Management Approver can update the status of an order from 'Submitted' to 'Shipped', as well as save an order/quote form without completing all required fields.
Order Management Viewer
Users with the Order Management Viewer permission can view and administrate their orders and quotes, as well as any orders or quotes submitted by other users in their organization under Account > Orders.
Note: users with Order Management Viewer permissions cannot
see orders or quotes submitted by parent or child
An Order Management Viewer could be a designated purchasing user within an organization that must review and approve the order before it is sent to the manufacturer. In this workflow, a technician places the order, which triggers a 'Submitted' notification to be sent to the purchasing user, who then reviews and approves order by updating the status to 'Approved', which triggers a notification to be sent the manufacturer.
No Permissions Granted
For users without any Storefront permissions defined, users will only have the ability to view their submitted orders or quotes in Account > Orders.
