Getting Started
In order to understand logo inheritance, the below definitions of each level in the organizational hierarchy will be important:
- Root Organization:
- The highest level within the organization tree
Best Practice: there should only be one root organization
that all parent and child organizations roll-up under
- Parent Organization:
- The second level within the organization tree
- Are built under the root organization and must have children
- One or multiple parent organizations can be created within an organization tree
- Child Organization:
- The lowest level within the organization tree
- Are built under the root or parent organization and do not have any children
- One or multiple parent organizations can be created within an organization tree
Configuration Options
Below you can find the path to configure either a Tenant or Organization logo, along with information on how these images will be handled based on your organization structure.
Logo Location | Path |
Tenant | Documoto Admin > Library Admin > Styles |
Organization | Documoto Admin > Users > Select Organization > Styles |
- Configure tenant logo: all parent and child organizations will inherit the logo
- Configure unique tenant and parent organization logos: all child organizations will inherit the logo from the parent organization directly above it, while all other organizations (e.g. parent and/or children) will inherit the tenant logo
- Configure unique tenant, parent, and child organization logos: no inheritance; all organizations (parent and child) has a unique logo and the tenant logo is not inherited because each organization has it's own customized logo
