Both Documoto Classic and Documoto Rocket support Table of Contents (TOC) caching. The TOC cache works by caching all of the table of contents data for a book the first time the book is opened. This significantly improves book loading time in the Documoto library.
Most changes to a book's table of contents will cause the Table of Contents cache to invalidate. This means that after a Publisher updates a book's table of contents, the pages within a book or the parts within a book, the cache is reset. The next time a user opens a book where the cache has been invalidated, Documoto will take slightly longer to open and will again store a memory of all of the part, page and chapter data for that book.
While most changes to a book's table of contents will cause the TOC cache to invalidate, some updates will not (such as changing the thumbnail on a chapter).
As a result, it is a best practice to 'Clear' the TOC cache
when you are done working with a book.
This ensures that any changes you have made to a book will reflect in the library.
You can clear the TOC cache to force a book's TOC cache to invalidate by clicking on the Clear button in the Table of Contents editor in Documoto Publisher.
NOTE: There is also a time stamp at the top of TOC editor that
will inform you when the TOC cache for that book was last saved.
After clicking Clear, the value of that time stamp will change
from a date and time to 'Never', indicating that the current
TOC is not cached.
