In this article, we will be discussing the Recently Created and Indexed views in the Publisher module.
In Documoto, the Publisher module is used to create digital parts books and static content, supersede parts and multiple other functions relate to content creation and management.
After creating an interactive page in DocuStudio and uploading it to Documoto, new and updated content goes through the process of indexing. Indexing is the process of a newly created or updated page information being added to Documoto's SOLR database. SOLR is an open source enterprise search platform that contains many features including full-text search, faceted search, real-time indexing, etc.
The purpose of indexing is to ensure that all entities
(books, media, chapters, pages and parts) are searchable
Indexing could take several minutes, depending on the amount of content that is being processed or published to Documoto.
To help combat long indexing times, we have created an 'Indexed' view that is accessible in the Media Manager and Page Manager. The 'Indexed' view allows publishers to see all content that has been successfully indexed and is searchable within the Publisher module and Cloud library.
This view is sorted in reverse Updated Date order, so the most recently updated pages appear at the top.
Recently Created View
The "Recently Created" view allows publishers to view all content and/or pages that have been recently published, or updated, before it has been indexed in the database.
Note: you cannot search on or filter media or pages in the
Recently Created view because the content has not yet been
However, while content is being indexed, you can edit part, page and media properties, as well as add "Recently Created" pages to a book's table of contents in Media Manager.
This view is sorted in reverse Created Date order, so the most recently created pages appear at the top.
