In Documoto, part codes can be used to indicate when parts are obsolete, not available, or for reference only. A part code replaces a part number during the publishing process, while still maintaining part information, such as a unique part name and any associated metadata.
By default, all part codes are non-orderable. In addition, different part codes can be created to describe certain types of non-orderable parts (obsolete, part number not available, reference etc.).
Note: part codes must be configured in Tenant Admin before any
interactive pages containing parts codes are published. If a
part code is published on a page, but has not been configured
in Tenant Admin, the part will be created as an orderable, part
number in Documoto, rather than a part code - which may pose
issues for tenants with ERP integrations.
