What information does Documoto collect?
Documoto collects two types of information, which may or may not include personally identifiable information. The first type, “Content”, is that information collected by and residing within the Documoto Web Application and Software (“Services”). This information may be provided by Documoto customers or by you as a Documoto user, and is created through normal interactions and usage of the Services – creating logins, adding comments, submitting orders, etc. All Content is owned by the Documoto customers and Documoto has no control over it.
Documoto also collects other information from your use of the Web Application and Software, from our various websites, and from interactions with Documoto personnel. You may provide this information, it may come from third parties that provide data enrichments services, it may be provided on the user’s behalf by Documoto customers, or it may come from tracking technologies such as cookies, web beacons, and website monitors.
What does Documoto do with this information?
We use this information exclusively for our legitimate business purposes, including providing the Services and our websites to you. We do not sell personally identifiable information to third parties.
How does Documoto share my information?
We share your information with authorized service providers where the information is required to perform a business activity for us – processing a credit card, running reports, etc. We may also share your information when instructed to do so in a lawful demand from government authorities.
What are your plans for complying with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)?
We process personal information in compliance with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). In certain situations, and especially with Content, we are limited to acting as a Processor as it is defined under GDPR. In other situations, and especially with our websites, we are acting as a Controller.
How do I prevent Documoto from tracking me?
You may utilize features within your web browser to restrict or prevent the use of cookies. If you do so, your ability to utilize our websites and Services may be substantially limited.
You may opt out of sales and marketing emails by following the instructions in any email that is sent to you, or contact Documoto at privacy@documoto.com. We may still send you important transactional, event, or administration emails to you, even if you have opted out of sales and marketing emails.
How do I have my information removed from your systems?
If you would like to review, modify or delete your personal information contained within Content, please contact the Documoto customer that owns the Content. We can assist you in finding and contacting the customer.
For other information, if you would like to review, modify, or delete any of your personal information contained within other information, please email privacy@documoto.com, or file a ticket at support.documoto.com.
If you are a Documoto customer wanting to remove personal information contained within Content on behalf of one of your users, please submit a “forget user” request to support@documoto.com. Please consolidate these requests monthly and include the username of the user(s) you would like to be forgotten. In the future, we will also provide a public-facing API that will allow our customers to delete this information on their own.
